The trafficking of human beings is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of people for the purpose of exploitation. Trafficking involves a process of using illicit means such as threat, use of force, or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability. In this highly complex operation, the master minders create close allies with powerful people and use trusted people through out the operation from organising the organising people to their final settlement & cash collection in destination country. In June 14, INDONESIAN police have arrested the suspected ringleader of a people smuggling operation accused of trying to bring 83 Sri Lankan asylum seekers to Australia earlier this year.Mr Sithamparappillai Chandra Babu is accused of being involved in organising the Sri Lankan venture. A Tamil website linked back this human trafficking network to Mr Babu's brother, Mr Sithamparappillai Yoga Nathan (Yogan) in melbourne and his alleaged powerful connections with Sri Lankan Minister (and para military leader) Douglas Devananda of Eelam People’s Democratic Party (EPDP).
