Swami Atmaghananandaji of Ramakrishna Mission, Colombo, Sri Lanka, thanked Tamil Brisbane Community for their generous support provided to alievate the sufferings of displaced civilians in Batticaloa, Eastern part of Sri Lanka. As the number of Internally Displaced People in Eastern Sri Lanka and their sufferings , are increasing in recent months Brisbane Tamils are organising another fund raising Event - Tamil (Indian) Food Stall at Zillmere Multicultural Festival, 19th May 2007 . The proceeds from this event is envisaged to support Social Welfare Organisation  ( Thilakavathiyar Illam ) and Ramakrishnan Mission, Batticaloa , organisers said.
