| Former Attorney General of Sri Lanka blasted Govt for not adopting UN declaration of human rights |

In the wake of current escalating, Sri Lankan Government State sponsored death squads ( White Van ) operating in North East of Sri Lanka and massacaring voiceless innocent tamil civilians, Formet Attorney General of Sri Lanka, Mr. Siva Pasupathy, blasted Govt for not adopting UN declaration of human rights, in a public meeting held in Homebush, Sydney, Australia. He further stated that, it was in 1948 that this was formulated after the world war II and it is unfortunate that even after 50 years, Sri Lankan Judicial System is not embaracing this great concepts.He also quoted a recent UN Commision for Human Rrights report stating, "Since 1980, 12,000 people gone missing after being detained by Sri Lankan Government security forces, only Iraq has more and it is 16,400 missing people. Human Rights Violations in Sri Lanka, happend only second to Iraq."
