Jaffna Hindu College OBA Sydney has planned to have Geethavani 2010 awards on 12 June 2010 at the Bankstown Auditorium in Sydney, Australia. Following the great success of the last 4 years of the Geethavani Awards, the Jaffna Hindu College Old Boys' Association (JHC OBA), Sydney is very pleased to announce this time, the Geethavani Awards for 2010 with a wide variety of singing competition of the potential singers. The philosophy of the competition remains the same - to encourage the growing number of talented Tamil singers in Australia. The winner will be chosen by an audience vote and will receive prestigious Geethavani Award along with the recognition to pursue a music career.
The JHC OBA Sydney Singing Competition will be conducted by the talented musician 'Maestro' 'Wadyavisharadh' Sarangan Sri Ranganathan, who along with his accompaniment of renowned artists has a new, original and exciting repertoire in store for the show. Come along to enjoy a spectacular show and evening - a night of exciting competition, pop, cine songs and wonderful fusion music. Are you an aspiring singer? Here is the opportunity. Enrol yourself with this mega Tamil musical event. There will be four categories Category I: Age 12–17 Those who are willing to participate in the event, record two Tamil cinema songs, send it across to the following address with Name, Address, Telephone & email. You could reach out to the contacts found in the bottom of the poster, hand over it to them personally. Songs could be recorded with or without the background music.
