|
The Indian Dance School was found by Meena Beadle in 1989 and it is now being directed by her daughter, Janani Beadle. The Indian Dance School initially started with the classical form of dance "Bharatha Natyam" and was taught by Meena and later taught by Janani in 1996. The school commenced in Toongabbie Public School and then re-located to Erskine Park Community Centre in 1991. Since then the IDS has several studios located in North Rocks, Homebush & Greystanes. As the tastes of the world changes, the school extended their style into "Bollywood" & "Hip Hop Fusion" in 2005. Though it is a western style it is still technical & lively as the eastern styles.
Feedback from students have been more than positive and the training not only cultivates dance skills, but also improves physical health, self esteem, a sense of social and cultural identity. The Indian Dance School has numerous talented dancers and highly enthusiastic teachers, keen to impart their experience and knowledge to students. Meena Beadle and Janani Beadle are the directors and Shalini Menon, Keshana Raviraj and Ranmani Seneratne are the teachers of Indian dance school. All teachers are well trained and are qualified to teach at The Indian Dance School. |
