MILEs Lab attached to the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science headed by  Prof. A. G. Ramakrishnan today unveiled the world first Tamil Text to speech conversion web based engine. MILEs lab is one of the premier research centers in India focusing on a wide range of areas such as Document Image analysis and recognition, Online handwriting recognition, Text to Speech Synthesis in Indian languages and Natural language processing.
