Federal Member for Reid, Laurie Furguson MP in a letter of support to the Humanitarian Walk by Seran and Vishna said that, more than 300,000 tamil currently detained in Sri Lankan IDP Camps are "recipe for extra judicial disappearance and disease". He commended the youths for their focus on the immediate condition of the suppressed detainees, rather than the long term ethnic issues.
