 Sri Lanka Standards Institution, under the perview of Ministry of Science and Technology yet as another insult to Tamil Language & minority Tamil Community fighting for self governance in Sri Lanka, introduce standards for Tamil Computing with Clensing Material and Coconut Product, as per advertisement. The Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka, under war savvy President Mahinda Rajapaksa which is behind the architecture of this standard has been accused of showing step motherly approach in taking the advancement of ICT to Minority Tamil Communities living in North and East, analysts said.
None of the major projects like Nenasala (meaning global knowledge centres) has been implemented in Tamil Areas which is a blatent discrimination, sources said. Sri Lankan Tamil Diaspora is hevily focused on developing its own ICT toolsets for the future use by discriminated Sri Lankan Tamils, analysts said. http://www.tamilnet.com/transcription/
