The Tamil Senior Citizens Association (NSW) held their Thai Pongal Celebrations in the Homebush Boys High School on Saturday, 12th January 2008. Chief Guests were Mr John Murphy MP (for Lowe) and Clr Scott Farlow (Mayor of Strathfield) . A variety of dancing, vocal and instrumental music was performed in front of an appreciative audience of almost 300.

The piece de resistance was the Dance – “Shankara Siva Giri”, “Kaatrinile Varum Keetham” by  Seran Sribalan and Lavaniya Thevarajan of the Rasana School of Aesthetic Dancing.
