I visited Villawood Immigration Centre today and met some Tamils refugees from Sri Lanka detained there. This was a followup of last weeks visit by Mr AAAA. I took some food purchased by me and a large box of snacks donated by Janani restaurant. The situation there is grim and we need to act as a community. The investigation into the 2G scam seems to be snaking its way to the front door of the DMK. The CBI is connecting the dots between former Telecom Minister A Raja and the companies he allegedly colluded with; the dotted line seems to suggest that the kickbacks paid to Mr Raja were routed into a TV channel owned by the first family of the DMK. |

Attorney-General Robert McClelland said Tony Abbott’s calls today for $100,000 low interest loans for small businesses affected by natural disasters in Queensland are $150,000 short of what’s already available for victims of the recent floods. In newspapers this morning, Mr Abbott called for loans of up to $100,000 for disaster-affected small businesses at an interest rate of four per cent, over a seven year period. Under assistance that’s been provided to Queensland small businesses and primary producers for nearly a month now, loans of up to $250,000 are available, at an interest rate of four per cent, over a seven year period (with the possibility of an extension to ten years). “Mr Abbott’s policy is $150,000 short of what’s being delivered right now for small businesses and farmers affected by natural disasters in Queensland,” Mr McClelland said. |

Nithyananda’s claim also flies in the face of his own statement before the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in April 2010, when he admitted to his interrogators that he was the one who was filmed having sex with Ranjitha. In the 15-page statement, Nithyananda admitted, inter alia, to having had sex with Ranjitha several times as well as with 15 other women devotees. |
